Within this portfolio of companies, KIG leverages its extensive hands-on experience and relationships with government agencies, end-users and suppliers around the world to re-engineer systems and processes to bring innovative solutions and services. KIG’s typical focus within the range of holdings is on supporting the U.S. warfighter in counter narcotics and counter terrorism efforts. We identify challenges that can be mitigated with technological solutions and we invest in startups that address these challenges.
We work closely with the companies in our investment portfolio and provide strategic and tactical support as well as business development strategies to penetrate new markets and to execute within the verticals we operate in.
OUR STRATEGY
KIG Intensively researches and identifies market segments that are poised to benefit from changing technological needs of the US government spending in the defense and security sectors.
Identifying “best of breed” solutions that address these needs and by creating product & solution platforms within these segments.
Shaping these product and service solutions within the entities and cross selling to existing clients within the portfolio as well as leveraging the back end infrastructure to ensure low cost project implementation criteria are achieved while maximizing profitability and effectiveness.
KIG takes an active role in all funded platform investments, including participating on the investment committee, sourcing opportunities, assisting with due diligence and financial structuring, providing operational value add and monitoring project management.
